We’re coffee lovers here at LiEBES. The morning doesn’t start until we’ve had our first cup. Our favourite is an almond milk cortado, but we are also partial to an iced coffee (without the syrup), particularly in Summer.
Recently we’ve been converted to cold brew coffee. It is super simple to make – although does need 12-14 hours to brew – and subtly sweet tasting, as the gentle brewing process results in a lower acidity.
You can drink it chilled over ice, or, if you’re gasping for a hot drink, just add hot almond milk. Once you’ve tried it, we promise, you won’t go back!

- 1 cup ground coffee or coffee beans
- 4 cups cold filtered water
- And that’s it… almond milk and ice are optional
Instructions (nice and simple!)
Ground the coffee and pour one cup of ground beans and the 4 cups of cold filtered water into a French Press.
Stir and place plunger to the side. Cover French Press and place in fridge.
Leave for 12 to 14 hours.
Remove from fridge and plunge the French Press.
Drink with ice or almond milk (either hot or cold).
