Healthy Eateries in Frankfurt

This week, we’re introducing you to our founder’s home town, Frankfurt. Discover some of the trendiest healthy food spots in town.

Please let us know in the comments below if you’ve visited any and what your experience was.

Vevay

Vevay stands for ‘Vegetarian Vegan Yummy’ and was one of the first restaurants to cater to vegetarian and vegan customers in Frankfurt. Vevay uses only regional and organic products for its vegetarian and vegan dishes, without any nasty additives. Lunch options include quinoa spaghetti or the protein bowl. But remember to save space for a delicious vegan desert!

It is located in the city centre, just a minute walk from the beautiful ‘Mainufer’. Nearby, you’ll find the Frankfurt Opera and some other theatres, so why not treat yourself to a lovely dinner followed by a trip to the ‘Oper Frankfurt’ or ‘die Komödie’?

What The Food!

‘What the Food’ is the perfect place for a healthy, quick lunch or food on-the-go. At ‘What the Food’ offers vegetarian and vegan, as well as grain-free, options, but does also serve chicken and salmon. Everything is free from additives and preservatives. Perfect for a quick, yet healthy, breakfast or brunch.

It is located in one of the trendiest areas of Frankfurt, the Bahnhofsviertel, where you’ll stumble across lots of small bars, cafes and hip night clubs.

Green Foody

Surprise, surprise… Green Foody offers vegetarian, vegan and raw food. Located in the east of the city centre, just a few minutes’ walk from Frankfurt Zoo, Green Foody is a small place, with outdoor seating in the summer.

You can choose from a variety of main dishes, such as the vegan pizza and courgette-spaghetti, or treat yourself to one of the (mostly) vegan deserts. They also offer delicious smoothies and juices. Making use of organic products and superfoods, the Green Foody menu is entirely free from gluten, added sweeteners, additives and preservatives. So if you want to relax in a quiet, cosy place, this might be the right spot for you!

Langosch

If you find yourself near the historic centre of Frankfurt, make a pit-stop at Langosch. Located near the river, this trendy restaurant is very popular with locals.

Offering a regularly changing menu that is inspired by regional ‘Hessisch’ cuisine, Langosch is perfect if you want to eat like a local. The restaurant turns into a bar later at night, so why not stay for a drink and enjoy the trendy atmosphere?
